As the world of crypto slowly transitions into being Proof-Of-Stake dominant, more and more protocols that offer liquid staking are fighting to capture part of what some say will grow to be a $500 Billion Dollar market in the next few years.
And now, another exciting liquid crypto staking platform is entering the market.
Meet pSTAKE Finance.
After having raised a $10M seed round in November 2021, the company is starting to deliver on its promise with a powerful staking app and a working product that has already attracted $50 million in Total Value Locked.
What is pSTAKE Finance?
pSTAKE Finance is focused on creating an ecosystem of multi-chain Web3 products, with Cosmos ($ATOM) and Persistence ($XPRT) being the first in its line of liquid staking products.
Token holders can deposit their tokens on the company’s app and receive 1:1 pegged ERC-20 wrapped and unstaked tokens, which are represented as pTOKENs.
These tokens can then be transferred to other wallets or smart contracts on the Ethereum network to generate additional yield.
The company is currently working on also integrating Solana and Ethereum deposits.
pSTAKE’s validator architecture mirrors that of the underlying Proof-Of-Stake protocols as closely as possible, having partnered with some of the best and most reputed validator providers on the market – Chorus One, Figment, Stakefish among the most notable ones.
The validators securing the delegations received through pSTAKE are chosen from the active validators on the underlying chains. These validators receive delegations through independent instances of pBridge for both supported networks.
How Is pSTAKE Different Than Other Liquid Staking Protocols?
The difference lies in that pSTAKE offers liquidity for other assets that are part of the Cosmos IBC protocol, by having added EVM compatability. Which means that you’re currently able to deposit Cosmos ($ATOM) and Persistence ($XRPT) tokens and enjoy Ethereum liquidity.
Once a user gets his stkTOKEN, they are available for use across the Ethereum ecosystem for DeFi activities such as yield farming or finding the best nft staking platforms for example.
